A Lecture by Doctor of Culturology Andrey Lessovichenko Took Place


On February 25, 2025, a lecture by Professor Andrey Lesovichenko from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory was held at the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory.

Andrey Lessovichenko is a Professorб Doctor of Culturology. Since 2020, he has been a leading researcher at the Research Center for the Methodology of Historical Musicology at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.

The lecture, organized by the Musicology and Composition Department with the support of Vitaliy Shapilov, was dedicated to the peculiarities of the formation of European-style musical culture among the nomadic steppe peoples. A. Lessovichenko presented his original concept analyzing this process and demonstrated examples based on Mongolian-Buryat culture.

The presentation sparked interest among the audience – Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral students of the "Musicology" and "Composition" programs, as well as teaching staff. The audience actively participated in discussing the speaker's ideas, leading to a lively debate on the issues raised.
