An evening consecrated to the memory of Balym Kozhamkulova
On March 26, a concert dedicated to the memory of the Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, owner of the «RK Outstanding Teacher» award, Professor Balym Seralievna Kozhamkulova was held at A.Zhubanov Small Concert Hall at Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory.
She passed away a year ago. Her sister Salikha Kozhamkulova, Professor of the String Instruments Department, Saule Zhusipova and Doctor of Arts, Professor Asiya Mukhambetova attended the commemoration gathering.
The daughter of the famous theater and film actor Serali (Serke) Kozhamkulov, the famous violinist, outstanding teacher, Professor, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Balym Kozhamkulova lived a bright and meaningful life, made her mark on the history of Kazakhstani art. Active teaching took a special place in her creative life. She has trained a large number of talented professional violinists during 55 years: 85 students, 10 postgraduates and undergraduates, 15 graduates with specialized secondary education. Many of them today are the pride of Kazakhstani musical culture including the concertmaster of Abay State Opera House, Sh.Tulepkalieva, D.Zh.Zhumabekova, the KNC Professor S.S.Zhusipova, Professor, soloist and conductor A.G.Pyankovsky, I.Rakhimova-Fradkina and others. The Conservatory Students performed such works as “Romance” by A.Zhubanov, “Tolgau” by M.Tulebaev, “Romance” by A.Mettus, “Kui-Caprice" by I.Kogan, "Aittym salem, Kalamkas" by Abay, kui "Akku" by N.Tlendiev, kui "Toremurat" by Kurmangazy, "Bozzhorga" by A.Tolganbaev.
