Conservatory at the ZhasStar Festival
From June 20 to 23, 2023, teachers and graduates of the Conservatory took part in the ZhasStar International Festival of Creative Youth of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation, which was held this year in the open air in the format of performative practices. More than 200 artists and representatives of the "new scene" came to the annual project, the purpose of which is to create conditions for the exchange of experience and knowledge between well-known professionals with those who are just starting their journey in the field of culture and art.
Professor of the Art Management Department, PhD, Evfrat Imambek gave a lecture “Glocalization. Cultural Economics. Artist (How to be Please Everyone and Remain Yourself)”.
The festival also hosted a pitching competition for grants for the development of creative projects. Associate Professor of the Art Management Department, PhD., Head of the Quality Management Department Damir Urazymbetov and Head of the Department of Music Education and Psychology, Senior Lecturer, Master of Arts Kamila Esdauletova took part in the work of the Council for Culture as experts in the grant competition.
For admirers of classical music, a concert was organized by the Laureates of the Foundation (host of the concert Gaukhar Tasbergenova): Talgat Mussabayev, Medet Chotabayev, Galina Cheplakova, Ermek Kurmanayev, Zhibek Sapargaliyeva, Natalia Mezina, Damir Saduakhassov, as well as the Almaty City Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mukhtar Kaldayakov. As part of the concert, the premiere of the composition "Yessentai Waltz" by Galymzhan Sekeyev took place.
