From 02 to 04 September 2024 for the teaching staff of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory. was organized a series of lectures-seminars, the purpose of which was to familiarize with the new Regulations on protection from harassment.
This Regulation was approved at the meeting of the Academic Council of the Conservatory (Minutes № 1 from August 28, 2024) and developed to prevent cases of harassment in educational institutions.
The lecture-seminar was conducted by the conservatory psychologist Shabdenova Daria. During the event, teachers and staff of the Conservatory were familiarized in detail with the main provisions of the document, after which the participants were able to ask questions concerning the topic of protection from harassment and related legal aspects. During the discussion process, the head of the legal sector Mamеdova Jeyran was also present at each meeting of the chairs and provided additional legal comments on the Regulation.
The Regulation was developed on the basis of a number of legal acts, including the Labor Code, the Labor Contract, the Civil Servants Code, as well as the United Nations Gender Policy and legislation related to violence. These documents served as the basis for the creation of the Regulation, which is aimed at preventing and counteracting any form of discrimination and violation of human rights in the educational process.
