Today heads of the leading art schools of the country and representatives of the creative teams headed by the Minister of Culture and Sports Aktoty Raiymkulova met with colleagues and the heads of the Russian Institute of Theater Arts.
At the meeting, Rector of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Arman Zhudebaev, Rector of the Kazakh National University of Arts, Aiman Musakhadzhaeva, Rector of T.Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, Akan Abdualiev, Rector of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, Altynai Asylmuratova, Director of the State Academic Russian Drama Theater, Aibolat Zhaudyr and representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan comprehensively discussed with their Russian colleagues various topics including planned events aimed at strengthening the cooperation.
As a result thereof a Cooperation Agreement was signed with the aim of promoting educational and cultural collaboration on the basis of a long-term cooperation program between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of culture, science and education dated March 28, 1994, between the GITIS Russian Institute of Theater Arts and the subordinate Institution of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan - RSI Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and implement joint educational, creative and research projects. The parties discussed the staff, faculties and students experience exchange matters and also agreed to support academic mobility and research internship projects for teachers, doctoral students and undergraduates. Within the framework of the meeting, the issue of opening a Musical Theater Directing specialty at the Conservatory was raised. Arman Adilkhanovich, Rector of the Conservatory thanked Grigory Zaslavsky, Rector of the GITIS Russian Institute of Theater Arts for his contribution to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.
