In the Framework of EXPO-2017 series of Gala concerts of the music groups from Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory will be held in Astana

On August 23 – 25, 2017 in the framework of the international exhibition EXPO-2017 the series of gala concerts of the music groups from Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory will be held in Astana.

Three summer musical evenings will be held in the open air on the stage of EXPO amphitheater, the main entertainment venue of the exhibition located in the northwest part of the complex in the park area.

Concert program of the music groups of Kurmangazy conservatory differs by wealth of musical events, where the symphonic, choral, wind and folk music will sound in the performance of a constellation of world-renowned musicians and young talents of the conservatory.

A surprising musical gift is being prepared by the pianist Janiya Aubakirova. There is no Bach on the music stands, but the score for "Harry Potter" and "Pirates of the Caribbean". People's Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan will perform soundtracks from her favorite films together with the conservatory’s symphonic and folk orchestras.

The concerts will also be attended by the violinist Geza Legoczky (Switzerland), a winner of international music awards, including the prestigious Grammy award. The prominent Italian trumpeter Marco Pierobon, impressing by the virtuoso possession of the instrument for the first time will visit Astana. Karina Abdullina, a singer beloved by Kazakhstan listeners, also will be among the invited guests of musical evenings.

Music groups of the conservatory will demonstrate a multi-genre program - the audience will be able to observe unusual musical experiments on the contrast of classical and modern music. Virtuosic adaptations of the world classics and pop music masterpieces will be represented by the Orchestra of Kazakh Folk Instruments.

Guests of the exhibition will have the opportunity to listen to the rarely performed works of Kazakh composers, as well as new arrangements of compositions for chorus, symphonic, folk and wind orchestras.

Creative design of the stage, the original lighting solution and special video support will also contribute to the musical impressions of listeners.

Beginning of the concerts is at 21.30. Entrance to the concerts is included in the entrance ticket price for EXPO-2017.
