KNC Student became a Laureate in the Astana Classic Contest
The IV International Online Astana Classic Contest was held in Nur-Sultan On November 30, 2021. The organizer of the contest is the Astana Stars International Festival Movement with the support of the Department of Culture of Nur-Sultan.
The jury included leading experts in the field of culture, Professors of the Kazakh National University of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Honored Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the contest is the musical and aesthetic education of the young generation of trained musicians improving their performance skills. The contest gives an opportunity to test oneself in a competitive environment, to show a performer’s best qualities, to gain invaluable experience for future professional activities.
In a pandemic, holding online contests helps to attract and maintain interest in the art of music, to form a highly artistic taste and to reveal new names.
The high level of evaluation criteria of the contest is respected. This is the reason for the participation in it of a wide range of representatives from such countries as Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Serbia, Russia, Japan and Kazakhstan. The nominations of the contest are also diverse and attractive for performers of different specialties.
1st year student of the Conducting Department of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Ualikhan Bekarys took part in the contest in the "General Piano” nomination, presenting a recording of N.Lysenko's "Elegy". His performance captivates with sincerity, musicality, carefully thought-out interpretation and good performing skills. The performance was bright and memorable. Probably all this allowed Bekarys to win the first place among such an impressive list of participants and properly represent our students at the contest of a high professional level. What a successful start for a first year student!
The online competitive movement is gaining more and more popularity all over the world and gives young performers an opportunity to gain invaluable experience that increases their self-determination and self-esteem! There are many contests ahead, in which our students can show their best and raise the prestige of our university on the world stage even higher.
We wholeheartedly congratulate Bekarys Ualikhan and his “Compulsory piano” discipline teacher, Dinara Darbekovna Aidarkhanova and wish them further success!
