Scientist and Teacher Karima Sakharbayeva is 70 years old!

Professor of the «Dombra» Department of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, scientist and teacher Sakharbayeva, Karima Sundetkyzy celebrates her 70th birthday. It is deeply symbolic that the solemn opening of the small Olympiad in the nominations of the Dombra department coincided with the anniversary of the respected teacher.

At the opening ceremony of the event, Rector of the Conservatory Arman Zhudebaev congratulated Karima Sakharbaeva on her anniversary. In turn, the representative of D.Nurpeisova Atyrau College of Music of the Academy of Folk Music read out the congratulations of the head of the educational institution. Asel Alina, senior teacher of the Dombra Department, in a concert organized on the occasion of the opening of the Olympiad, performed the "Sakharbay sazy" kui in honor of the birthday lady, specially written by the famous kuishi Karshyga Akhmedyarov for Karima Sundetkyzy. Karima Saharabayeva was the dean of the "Folk Music" faculty, her scientific activity was connected with the study of the biographies of bright generations of dombrists and kuishis. She wrote many textbooks which included educational and methodological materials, works of a scientific nature. Popularizing the great legacy of the great dombra players, to this day she gives her students knowledge, instilling in them a love for the folk instrument. Many students of Karima Sundetovna today are teaching, are talented musicians and actively promote the national art of kui in different parts of the country.
