Student Symphony Orchestra of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory successfully performed at the II Festival of Youth Orchestras of the World
18 august 2024
From August 16 to 18, 2024, Moscow hosted the II Festival of World Youth Orchestras initiated by Maestro Yuri Bashmet and the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra.
The festival, which took place on the site of the Cultural City arts festival in Zaryadye Park, brought together 18 orchestras from different countries, demonstrating young art and uniting musical youth from all over the world.
The peculiarity of the festival was the concept of combining art and technology, which was reflected in a unique stage designed in the form of a DNA spiral and a large hand, symbolizing the desire for art. In addition, the design emphasized the idea of harmoniously combining classical art with modern technology.
Our Student Symphony Orchestra of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory under the direction of Dastan Ibragimov and Naryn Kazhgali presented a varied program, in which special attention was paid to the national repertoire. This made our performance stand out against the background of other participants and attracted special attention of the Russian media, which appreciated our contribution to the musical palette of the festival.
It should also be noted that eight of our students were part of the CIS Youth Symphony Orchestra, which, under the direction of Yuri Bashmet, performed works by Mozart, including the overture to the opera Le nozze di Figaro and Symphony No. 40.
The festival has become an important platform for young musicians, strengthened international ties and demonstrated the high level of performing skills of our students. We are proud of our orchestra's achievements and look forward to further successes in the future.
