STUDENTS OF THE CONSERVATORY BECAME WINNERS OF THE OLYMPIAD
From March 28 to April 1, the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan held the XIV Republican Subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, at T.Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy.
The program of the Olympiad included the following contests:
Duke Ellington - Caravan
F.W.Meacham - Salute to Glenn Miller (American patrol),
Duke Ellington – It Don’t Mean a Thing,
John Williams – Swing, swing, swing
Deep Purple - Smoke on the water
Students of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory became the winners of the Olympiad in the Ensemble profile. The honor of our university was defended by Almaz Muratov (Soprano saxophone), Elvira Abdrakhmanova (Alto saxophone), Abdibek Yernazar (Alto saxophone), Samuil Andreikin (Tenor saxophone), Gaziz Malikov (Baritone saxophone), Bekmurat Izim (Percussion instrument).
Almaz Muratov showed excellent preparation at the Olympiad in the "Ensemble" subject of the specialty 5B040800 - "Variety Art".
A great contribution to the preparation of students for such a significant event was made by the Artistic Director, Associate Professor Yuri Shubin. We congratulate the winners and the mentor on their success and wish them to reach new heights!
