The 45th International Conference of International Council for Traditional Music (ICTM) 2019

Vice-rector for Scientific work and international relations of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Candidate of Arts, Associate Professor (Docent) Begembetova Galiya and Candidate of Arts, Senior Teacher Nedlina Valeriya took part in the 45th International Conference of International Council for Traditional Music (ICTM) 2019, which was held from 11 to 17 July 2019 at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.

 The conference program included various events, including academic presentations, international music and dance workshops, concerts, exhibitions and guided tours.

On July 13 at the meeting of the section "OPERA IN AFRICA AND ASIA" Begembetova G. made a report “Transborder Masters: Transition of Traditional Musician from Ethnic to Westernized Music Making in Kazakhstan” (http://ictmusic.org/ictm2019/programme).
