The ceremony of awarding students, laureates of the I International «GASISA» Contest
F.Chopin Chamber Hall hosted the awarding ceremony for the student laureates of the 1st GASISA International Contest in the Compulsory Piano nomination on May 23. This contest was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh composer, public figure, Professor, People's Artist of the USSR, Laureate of the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR, Rector of the Conservatory (1975-1987), Gaziza Zhubanova.
Students participated in 2 age nominations. 3 students were awarded the title of laureate of the 1st prize, 6 students took the 2nd prize, 11 students - the 3rd prize. The rest were awarded certificates. The teachers of the department were also awarded Letters of Appreciation. The organizer and host of the awards ceremony was the Head of the General Piano Department, Associate Professor Oleksenko, Igor Vladimirovich. At this contest, he acted as the President of the Jury in the Compulsory Piano nomination. Director of the Zhubanovs house-museum, Senior Teacher of the Department, Mambetova, Kamila Muratovna who congratulated the contest participants and presented valuable prizes to the 1st degree laureates and students who received Certificates for the best performance of Gaziza Zhubanova's work, spoke at the award ceremony. Associate Professor Shin, Elena Ilyinichna and Senior Teacher Gafiatullin, Taufik Khaidarovich also spoke and noted the importance of this contest for educating young people in the spirit of patriotism and deep respect for the heritage of great musicians and composers like Gaziza Zhubanova.
