The Minister Congratulated the Musicologist Y.P.Aravin on His Anniversary



Today, the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Raimkulova, Aktoty Rakhmatullaevna and the Rector of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Arman Zhudebayev congratulated the Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, famous musicologist, veteran teacher Yuri Aravin on occasion of his 80th anniversary. The relatives and friends of Yuri Petrovich warmly greeted the guests and expressed their gratitude for the congratulations on the occasion of the anniversary.

Yuri Petrovich Aravin was born on April 2, 1941 in Tver city, RSFSR. He graduated from the historical and theoretical faculty of the Novosibirsk Conservatory in 1968. He completed his postgraduate studies at Kurmangazy Almaty State Conservatory in 1972. Yuri Aravin taught musical-historical and theoretical disciplines at the Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical Institute. For many years he taught at Kurmangazy Alma-Ata State Conservatory. Kazakh musicologist, music teacher, Professor, Honored Art Worker of Kazakhstan, holder of the "Parasat" order, member of the RK Composers Union, member of the RK Music Professionals Union.

Recently, by the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Professor was awarded the Otan order for his special contribution to the popularization and development of national culture and musical art.

Yuri Petrovich has fans among the Kazakh public as the author of the TV shows: "Museum of Sounds" and "Small Anthology of Kazakh Music". He was also remembered for the cycle: "Steppe Constellation" on the Totem radio.

His colleagues at Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory highly appreciate him for his unique knowledge of Kazakh music.
