The Nauryz Meiramy Holiday was held at the National Library

On March 31, 2022, the National Library hosted a festive event dedicated to the great day - Nauryz meiramy, which has become a symbol of spring renewal and prosperity. The moderator of the event was the Head of the "Shalkar" Almaty studio of the Kazakh TV and radio, the "Kurmet"order holder, poet and journalist Bakhyt Zhagypar.

The library Director B.K.Ospanova congratulated everyone on Nauryz Meiramy.

Among the holiday honorable guests was the Deputy Head of the Department of Culture of the Akimat of Almaty city, D.A.Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, B.Zhakip, Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Kazakhstan, Naib-Mufti K.K.Myrzabayev, Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan, Film Director E.K.Tursynov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the State Center for the Support of National Cinema, Producer K.A.Torebay, Chairman of the Almaty Branch of the Kazakhstan sectoral trade union of workers of culture, sports, tourism and information, S.N.Nurgalykov and mass media representatives.

On behalf of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, Bauyrzhan Zhakip awarded and presented to the Director of the National Library B.K.Ospanova the "Kitapkhana aruy - Міѕѕ Library" certificate and badge.

The festive event continued with a concert program which was attended by students of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, artists of the "Kausar" instrumental ensemble, the "Dolan" Uighur dance ensemble, dombra players of the Kazakh-Turkish lyceum, blogger and dombra player A.Fendrikov.

According to tradition all guests during the holiday, were treated to nauryz-kozha and other national dishes.
