Working Meeting within the Framework of the International Project “Dialogues of Cultures – Bridges of Friendship”

On July 11, 2025, representatives of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory took part in an online working meeting with colleagues from the A. K. Glazunov Petrozavodsk State Conservatory and the Karelian Foundation for the Development of Public Diplomacy as part of the implementation of the international project “Dialogues Cultures – Bridges of Friendship.”
The project is supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and brings together participants from Russia (Karelia), Belarus, and Kazakhstan. Its purpose is to promote tolerance, mutual respect, and strengthen cultural ties among students and teaching staff of music universities in the CIS countries.
The Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory was represented by Acting Vice-Rector for Scientific and Creative Activities and International Cooperation Aizada Nussupova, and Head of the International Programs and Cooperation Department Damir Urazymbetov. The Russian side was represented by Project Manager and Executive Director of the Karelian Foundation for the Development of Public Diplomacy Natalya Lavrushina, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Creative Work of the Petrozavodsk Conservatory Tatyana Kraskovskaya, and Chief Specialist of the Educational Department (International Relations) Natalia Drobakha.
During the meeting, the participants discussed working and organizational issues related to the preparation of the International School of Music, which will take place on November 20–30, 2025, in Petrozavodsk. The parties discussed potential joint concerts of symphonic and chamber orchestras, master classes, and academic and educational initiatives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness for active cooperation, emphasized the importance of cultural exchange, and noted the high potential of the project.
