The main activities of the Science Department are:
1. support for the preparation of tender documentation for participation in competitions for grant, program-targeted financing of scientific and projects;
2. monitoring the implementation of research and development of scientists in priority areas of science;
3. consulting support for the preparation of reports on the implementation of research projects and innovative activities of the conservatory;
4. assisting in the approval of research topics for undergraduates and doctoral students, the selection of domestic and foreign scientific consultants, the passage of foreign internships;
5. organization and holding of annual international scientific and practical conferences;
6. coordination of the annual forum “Republican Master's Readings;
7. organizing the participation of students in the annual republican competition of research works (NIRS);
8. preparation for the publication of the magazine "Saryn" (http://knk-nauka.kz/?cat=654);
9. assistance in the participation of teaching staff and students in scientific, scientific-practical conferences, forums in Kazakhstan and abroad;
10. preparation for publication of collections of articles of scientific international conferences of the conservatory.
