Tasbergenova Gaukhar
Rector of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory
Tasbergenova Gaukhar Koshkarbekovna was born in 1980 in Almaty into a creative family with rich cultural and musical traditions. She is the daughter of the outstanding kuishi-virtuoso, dombra player, composer, and Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Koshkarbek Tasbergenova.
In 1987, G. Tasbergenova enrolled in the K. Baisseitova Republican Secondary Special Music School for Gifted Children, from which she graduated with honors. She continued her education at the Kazakh National Academy of Music in the piano class. G. Tasbergenova was one of the first graduates of this institution. From 2002 to 2004, G. Tasbergenova completed an assistant internship in piano at the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory. In 2009, she obtained a master's degree in "Art Management". In 2021, she defended the first PhD degree in Kazakhstan in "Art Management".
G. Tasbergenova began her career in 1998 as an accompanist while being a first-year student at the Kazakh National Academy of Music.
G. Tasbergenova has been involved in developing project management in Kazakhstan for many years. She is a "Trainer-Consultant" who confirmed the highest qualification under the National Project Management Standard ST RK ISO.
From 2013 to 2017, she was the leader and participant of the international concert project "Paris-Astana: from Debussy to Zhubanova" with the participation of the French Embassy in Kazakhstan, and the principal pianist-accompanist for opera productions such as A. Zhubanov and L. Khamidi's "Abai" (directed by Giancarlo del Monaco) and Ye. Brusilovsky's "Kyz Zhibek" (directed by Mikhail Pandzhavidze).
From May 2017 to 2019, she represented the cultural sector in the Central Project Office of the "Rukhani Zhangyru" Program as the Chief Manager, actively participating in the implementation of major cultural projects and events.
From 2019 to 2024, she developed and implemented numerous cultural projects, including "Ulagatty urpak" on the madeni-m.kz portal, which features video lessons for students from grades 1-11. She was the author and leader of the First International Scientific and Practical Conference "Promotion of Contemporary Kazakh Culture in the Global World" with the participation of leading experts in culture and art from France, Armenia, Belarus, and Poland. She also organized the first Republican contest for creating new songs and poetry for children "Zhas oren". G. Tasbergenova was the chief producer of the project organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information for the diplomatic corps of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – "Nauryz Bal", among others. She worked as the Coordinator of the Project Monitoring and Management Center at the Digital Government Support Center, overseeing the management and monitoring of state programs in the field of culture and art.
G. Tasbergenova is a laureate of numerous international competitions: the IV International Competition of Chamber Singers and Accompanists named after R. Yakhin in Kazan, Russian Federation, laureate of the II degree, and the XXIII International Competition of Vocalists named after M. Glinka in Moscow, Russian Federation, winners of the 1st prize with vocalist M. Chotabayev, among others.
In June 2023, she published her monograph "Management of the Development and Promotion of Culture in Kazakhstan and Abroad", and she is also the author of 11 scientific publications, including those indexed in the Scopus database, Q1 – the highest quartile.
Currently, G. Tasbergenova is a member of the National Commission for Women and Family-Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
