CONSERVATORY LIBRARY NEWS
Recently, the library fund of the Kazakh National Conservatory was replenished with books from the personal library of our Kazakhstani citizen and a KNC graduate, a famous ethnomusicologist, Dr. A.B.Kunanbaeva, who has been working in the United States for many years as a Professor at the most prestigious universities of Berkeley and Stanford and who leads the Silk Road House Public Organization which promotes the culture of the Central Asia.

Shindaulova, Raushan Baiseitovna, Doctor of Philosophy, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory was awarded the honorary title: "Founder of the Scientific School” of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.

The Minister Congratulated the Musicologist Y.P.Aravin on His Anniversary
Today, the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Raimkulova, Aktoty Rakhmatullaevna and the Rector of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Arman Zhudebayev congratulated the Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, famous musicologist, veteran teacher Yuri Aravin on occasion of his 80th anniversary. The relatives and friends of Yuri Petrovich warmly greeted the guests and expressed their gratitude for the congratulations on the occasion of the anniversary.

1st year doctoral student in art management Imae Asel Nazymbekovna participates in the international project Creative Sparks. The international group includes representatives from the UK, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Poland.
Creative Sparks is a British Council's five-year program to develop international partnerships between universities and educational institutions in the UK and countries involved in the development of creative entrepreneurship skills for the development of the creative economy. The project involves: the countries of Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan), the South Caucasus (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia) and Ukraine.
At this stage, the survey “Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the music industry” was developed. The study is being conducted in collaboration with Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK, and the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Kazakhstan, as part of the Creative Spark Higher Education Enterprise Program research project supported by the British Council.
The aim of this study is to examine the social and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the music industry in Kazakhstan. The target audience of the project is musicians, artists, freelancers, composers, singers and others related to this industry. By collecting this data, we will be able to expand knowledge about the possible impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as track policy impacts for the country as a whole, if possible.

The Batyrkhan Shukenov Foundation is Opening Applications for the Batyr Lab Musical Residence!
Batyr Lab is the country's first musical residence for Kazakh composers. 10-12 local composers will be invited to participate in the visiting residence, who will be trained in sound recording and music production.

The name of the musicologist, lecturer, critic, TV and radio host, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aravin, Yuri Petrovich is widely known to professionals and amateurs of musical art. Yu.P.Aravin received his fundamental education in Russia and Kazakhstan.
